Review: BABYMETAL live solo concert in Singapore

I attended the concert on the 28th December 2013. It was my very first concert and was very glad that my favourite Japanese Girl Group was coming to Singapore.

I got the tickets when they were sold at AFA2013.  I didn’t attend that event. I had a very good friend who conveniently bought the ticket while he was there. I am grateful.

Anyways, the tickets I got was the GA (General Admission) which cost S$88. According to my friends, it is considered cheap. Well, it’s my first concert. So, it was considered expensive to me. I used my salary from my vacation job to pay for it.

When the actual day arrived, I was quite excited. Not just because of the concert, but also getting my new phone! (Another story for another post). The concert starts at 5.30pm; I reached there at 4.20pm. When I reached the venue, I could see many people wearing the BABYMETAL concert T-shirts while I decided to wear a plain white tee.

The queue for GA was outside SCAPE. There were just a few people in front of me. So, I should be the closest to BABYMETAL of the GA crowd.

At around 5.10, the doors open for.the GAs and by then, the queue was incredibly long. I just rushed in when they opened.

At 5.30, the concert started. It was interesting. The concert had some sort of storyline and it was really nice of them to personalise the concert for our country. They had short animated clips at the start and in between songs to tell the story. I can’t remember the exact words of the story or the order of the songs. But I roughly can explain the concert.

Clip 1: Heavy Metal was considered evil so the fox god decided to recruit three girls: SU-METAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL.

Clip 2: YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL have been partying too hard, even when the fox god warned them not to. They even ate anti-metal chocolate (whatever it’s called) and they became evil. They started saying ‘yo’ and that’s when began. Forming BLACK BABYMETAL

Clip 3: SU-METAL became the RED METAL KNIGHT to fight evil.

Clip 4 (Encore): They found a metal god in Singapore called the MERLION GOD. Like Kawaii Metal half Idol Pop and half heavy metal, it is half lion half fish.

I have horrible memory, I can’t remember the order right.

Clip 1
② Kimi ga Anime ga mitai 【 Answer for Animation With You 】
③ いいね!! (Ii ne!!)

Clip 2
④ Onedari Daisakusen
⑤ Give me Chocolate 〖 New Song 〗
⑥ Uki Uki Midnight

Clip 3
⑦ Akatsuki
⑧ Catch me if you can
⑨ Headbangerrr!
⑩ Doki Doki Morning★

Clip 4 (Encore)
Encore⑴ メギツネ (MEGITSUNE)
Encore⑵ Ijime,Dame,Zettai

That’s it! Overall it was great. Honestly, their performance were really the same as you would see their love performances on YouTube. It was really nice for them to personalise the concert for their Singaporean fans with the MERLION GOD. No money wasted.

Review: What’s in my Android SmartPhone

I am a typical teenager who is heavily reliant on my phone. Some of my friends like to call my phone the ‘Hipster phone’, because it’s a Sony Ericsson Neo V, and I’m the only person possibly in my whole school who uses this phone. Today I’ve decided to share with you guys some of the apps in my Android Smartphone.

The Sims Freeplay– Very obvious that I have this game. I’ve actually played this game for about 2 years now, and restarted about 3 times already due to errors. If you don’t have The Sims 3 game for computer, you should try this game!

Happy Street– One of my favorite games. It’s kind of like those games where you manage a village, do some restocking of shops, upgrade houses, do some harvesting etc. It’s really fun, but sometimes it get a a little boring if the don’t update the game.

Lil’ Kingdom– I like this game because of the 3D graphics. It’s also really fun and simple to play. It’s like Tiny Tower, just that it’s underground. You can also keep pet unicorns and dragons and citizens of your kingdom can range from fairies to humans to ogres.

osu!droid– It’s a J-pop music game. Just tap on the circles following the rhythm of the song of your choice. You can download the songs from the game itself.

Inotia 4– A very famous RPG game, and my favorite one. You can play many different types of characters.

Other Apps
My Boy! Free– Emulator for gameboy advanced. I am currently playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on it. You have to download ROMs in order to play.

SoundCloud– I just download this app to listen to Shane Dawson’s podcast: Shane and friends.

Office Suite – I use this app to read documents from my school or for projects. It’s very easy to use.

Bakareader – You can read Japanese translated to English Light novels. My favourites are HighSchool DxD, Sword Art Online and Accel World.

WordPress – I blog using my phone, I need this.

Okay, that’s all. I have more apps on my phone, just that I don’t have enough time to add in all. Hope you guys find this post useful. Do try this apps.

*All links are for Android by Google. These apps might be on Apple’s iPhone. Go check them out.

Review: Why Modern Family?

I recently finished watching all 4 seasons of Modern Family. And is patiently waiting for the next season. It is one of my favourite American dramas, and here’s why:

Each persona has a very special characteristic.

Phil Dunphy(Ty Burrell) is a dad who always makes the wrong points, fun, and is always having trouble impressing his father-in-law. I find this character a little annoying. Claire Dunphy(Julie Bowen) is quite hot-tempered and very rash. Haley Dunphy(Sarah Hyland) is a bimbo, that’s why she’s funny. Alex Dunphy(Ariel Winter) is smart, but it is quite funny to watch someone who is like a perfectionist, and is socially struggling get through the series.Luke Dunphy(Nolan Gould) was an innocent kid; throughout the series we can see him grow, the change makes the character pretty funny; he is the dumb kid.

Jay Pritchett(Ed O’Niel) is the tough guy and is super stubborn, another character that I find annoying. At least this character adds humor. Gloria Delgado(Sophia Vegara) is in my opinion, the funniest character. She has a very strong Colombian accent, which makes her pronunciation funny. She is also slightly tempered, I think that’s her heritage, according to the show. Manny Delgado(Rico Rodriguez) has an old soul, but kind of a hopeless romantic. Another annoying character because he wants things.

Mitchell Pritchett(Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is also hot-tempered acts like a know-it-all, super happy when he is right, making him funny. Cameron Tucker(Eric Stonestreet) is super dramatic, and sometimes makes things worse. I find this character very funny and very annoying at the same time. I was actually surprised that in real life, this actor is a straight man, and not a gay like in the show. Lily Tucker-Pritchett(Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) is funny, simply because she is toddler. They are cute, you know.

Interesting Storyline
I must say, the show is very well written. It is the type of show that is never boring, and I seriously don’t mind watching it over and over again.

This is also the kind of show that, if you miss an episode, you still can catch up (Valid till season 2). Season 3 onwards, some episodes are connected to one another, or one episode’s events are mentioned in another. Now they are adding new characters, like Joe Pritchett, Stella the dog and Larry the cat. I wish the series will focus more on these characters.

Guest Stars
The guest stars add a lot of humor in the series. It is also very frequent that they have guest stars coming into the show. They need not necessarily be very famous, as long as they are funny, I’m good.
